Hi!
I’m just back from a perfect mini break in Spain to celebrate my youngest Son turning 18. He’s a huge roller coaster enthusiast so visiting PortAventura in the beautiful sunshine was perfect.
As a bag maker, I just had to have a new bag to take with me! I don’t know why we bag makers have to make a bag at the last minute but it’s a thing!
I chose the perfect bag though. The Jeanie is a pretty quick and satisfying make.
I got my Jeanie as part of the 7t7 club but it’s now available to buy. If you’d like to join the club use my unique code ESTHER for £10 off your first month.
I thought it only right to snap a picture of my Jeanie in the hotel bar. The cocktail was called rollercoaster by the way and it wasvery tasty!
Emma (Studio 7t7) designed this bag to be able to use old jeans (see what she did there!) in fact, her first sample used her little girl's outgrown jeans so you don’t need a huge amount of fabric. I used my Husband’s worn out jeans and saved them from going to waste.
The main inspiration for my bag came from https://www.sewingthroughfog.com/ Radha is the queen of upcycling and I particularly love when she used up-cycled denim with Liberty fabric so that’s what I did. I love how it turned out.
You can make the Jeanie out of any fabric you like, here’s some more inspiration for you.
Emma has filmed a YouTube video to walk you through every step.
